Corgi...tastic?
Thursday, August 28, 2008 I've got a couple of more crazy good "Corgi of the Future" drawings to share before SasqWatch 2813 wraps up tomorrow. The first is from Scott Drummond, creator of the webcomic "Dock Boys". He believes that corgis will gain sentience in the future, and instead of just barking, will start barking orders. See what I did there? Yeah. ![]() Yes SIR! And wrapping up this great little diversion is a little something from Pat Guarino that just blew me away this morning. Take a look: ![]() Wow. Seriously. W-O-W. What did I say about humbling me, people? It's rude :) Thank you so much to everyone who sent in a drawing. I really enjoyed writing and drawing this little diversion, and I'm a little sad to see it end tomorrow. But don't worry, I think Trunk and Flank will be back soon. And don't forget, Ugly Hill returns on September 1st! Tell your friends, enemies, and co-workers. |

It's... it's like some kind of wonderful dream.SasqWatch 2813 concludes next week, followed by the return of Ugly Hill (as you can see in the photos) September 1st. Be there, or be somewhere else. |

Corgalicious!
Tuesday, August 19, 2008 Wow, we got a couple of good ones today: Dear Paul, Attached is my rendition of the future Corgi. History tells us that time runs on a cyclical basis, so I am almost 100% certain that eventually Corgis will evolve into monolithic dinosaur like beasts that devour entire cow pastures in a single day. Naturally there would be objections about keeping these things of pets. I mean, let's not get started on any possible walkies these guys have to be taken out for... - Alex Ilitchev ![]() Scary walkies indeed, Alex. You'd need a Ziploc bag the size of a toolshed to pick up those tightly-coiled piles of post-historic poop. Next is a submission from Jay Johnson that just blew me away. I found some time for a submission. Here's my design for a Space Corgi in the future. Thanks for your hard work, Ugly Hill is one of the bright moments of my day. Keep it up! ![]() Man! New rule, guys. You can't send in any drawings if you're better than me. It just... it just makes me feel bad. I kid! Jay says he doesn't have a website yet, but if he doesn't get one soon, I'm gonna sic that first Corgi on him. Incredible work. Thanks, Jay. Thanks, guys! It's been really fun looking through these drawings. Keep 'em comin'! The cut-off date will be September 1st, when Ugly Hill comes back... with a vengeance! Okay, maybe not with a vengeance, but maybe kind of ticked off? |
